چکیده
The effectiveness of biochar application to promote plant growth and suppress diseases is usually dependent on the dose biochar. Here, we evaluated effects supplied at 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% (w/w) tomato growth, Fusarium wilt disease severity, rhizosphere microbial community diversity. We found that applied 1% 2% promoted decreased severity disease. High-throughput amplicon sequencing indicated alpha diversity altered composition bacterial fungal in rhizosphere, increasing abundance potential plant-beneficial microorganisms. Quantitative PCR confirmed all doses increased bacteria; fungi oxysporum f. sp. Lycopersici (FOL), while FOL. Our results suppressed disease, which might be linked change structure microorganisms such as Pseudomonas within microbiome.

Intercropping with aerobic rice suppressed Fusarium wilt in watermelon
Watermelon is susceptible to Fusarium wilt in successively mono-cropped soil. Pot experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of intercropping with aerobic rice on Fusarium wilt in watermelon. The tested soil was classified as a loam soil, previously planted with watermelon and collected from Hexian county, Anhui province, China. The results obtained are listed as follows: (1) 66.7% ...
متن کاملEffects of Compost and Lime Application on Soil Chemical Properties, Soil Microbial Community, and Fusarium Wilt in Florida-grown Tomatoes
Soils used for vegetable production in Florida are sandy, have low organic matter content and fertility, and can support the growth of soil-borne pathogens. Some growers choose to apply compost as an antagonistic suppression approach to combat soil-borne disease effects on crop yields or to increase organic matter and improve soil fertility. The objective of this on-farm study was to determine ...
متن کاملLinking the Belowground Microbial Composition, Diversity and Activity to Soilborne Disease Suppression and Growth Promotion of Tomato Amended with Biochar
Biochar, in addition to sequestering carbon, ameliorating soil, and improving plant performance, can impact foliar and soilborne plant diseases. Nevertheless, the mechanisms associated with suppression of soilborne diseases and improved plant performances are not well understood. This study is designed to establish the relationships between biochar-induced changes in rhizosphere microbial commu...
متن کاملRhizosphere Inhibition of Cucumber Fusarium Wilt by Different Surfactin- excreting Strains of Bacillus subtilis
Bacillus subtilis B006 strain effectively suppresses the cucumber fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum (Foc). The population dynamics of Foc, strain B006 and its surfactin over-producing mutant B841 and surfactin-deficient mutant B1020, in the rhizosphere were determined under greenhouse conditions to elucidate the importance of the lipopeptides excreted by these strain...
متن کاملBiochar-rhizosphere interactions - A review.
Biochar is a solid material of biological origin obtained from the biomass carbonization, designed as a mean to reduce greenhouse gases emission and carbon sequestration in soils for a long time. Biochar has a wide spectrum of practical utilization and is applied as a promising soil improver or fertilizer in agriculture, or as a medium for soil or water remediation. Preparations of biochar incr...
